Why We Start
Year 2019. Small group of traveler. Many trip. Many bad bag. Zipper die in airport. Wheel fall off in Bangkok. Backpack strap snap when rain come.
We look online for help. We find only lists. Same lists. Same words. Nobody touch bag. Nobody carry bag through eight airport.
So we make our own place. Travel Essentials born.
Simple mission: test real gear, tell real truth, help real traveler.
What We Cover

How We Test
This part matter most. Many site skip. We not skip.
Step 1 — Research. We read spec. We read many user review. We watch complaint pattern. We find what break.
Step 2 — Buy. We buy gear ourselves most time. When brand send free sample, we say so loud on page. Free sample never buy good score.
Step 3 — Real Travel. Bag go on real trip. Real airport. Real train. Real rain. Real cobblestone. Not lab. Not living room floor.
Step 4 — Stress Test. We overpack. We drop from waist height. We yank zipper. We roll wheel across gravel. We soak in water.
Step 5 — Live With It. Minimum thirty day. Some gear we carry one year. Good bag show weakness only after time.

We not recommend gear we never touch.
We not hide flaw to protect brand relationship.
We not use fake urgency. No “only 2 left!” No fake countdown.
We not pretend every bag good. Most bag average. Some bag bad. We say so.
How We Make Money
Honest talk. We use affiliate link. You click. You buy. We earn small commission. Price same for you. Not one penny more.
Commission never change our score. We recommend bag we hate zero times, even when commission high. We recommend cheap bag with small commission many times, because cheap bag sometimes best bag.
Some brand send free product. We label clearly on that review. We keep product or donate it. We still say when product bad.
